My name is Phil Smith. I studied photography as a means to find a way out of working in IT. All whilst starting a small IT business to serve as the side hustle. Fast forward a few years and I rarely picked up the camera and IT was my full time life once again.
In a post COVID, post energy crisis and in the midst of the financial crisis hitting most of the planet I needed a release for the stress of day to day life and found myself turning back to my camera. From there this website was born as a means to share the images I create.
Along with sharing the images I take, I am also looking to build my portfolio back up from scratch, with my newer style that is much more rugged and natural than my early, post college work. Eventually building up a body of work that will allow me to venture back into paid photography work once again, although this time with photography as the side hustle, until retirement beckons or when I can employ someone to replace me in my primary business and I finally get to give up working directly. in the IT sector once and for all. If that day never comes, at least I will still have the process of creating images I like to keep me sane. I hope you find some images you enjoy on these pages as the site slowly grows in size.
